Poppy, by Austin Hummell, is the winner of the 2003 Del Sol Press Poetry Prize, judged by Lucie Brock-Broido. These are excellent and lovely poems.

Austin Hummell's first book, The Fugitive Kind, was a winner of the Contemporary Poetry Series Competition and was published by the University of Georgia Press. He teaches at Northern Michigan University and is poetry editor of Passages North.
