CTG -

Please do not mistake precision for bombast.

Putting brand-names and esoteric part names into works of poetry or prose is something that marks the amateur, unless done for real thematic purposes.

Since this poem has no theme, that cannot be the case.

With respect to what I mean by:

NewYorkerBanalDetailsSignifyingNothing

I apologize for a phrase that may depend on for its precision how old its readers are.

Before Donald Barthelme and Howard Moss took over the New Yorker for their deserved turns in the spotlight, people scratched their heads over every New Yorker short-story and poem, going:

OKKKKKKkkkkkkkkkkaaaaaayyyyyy .....???

Best regards
