: Chapter One--
: "The Bullshit Papers"

: "... and have dominion
: over the fish of the sea,
: over the birds of the air
: and over every living thing
: that moves upon the earth."

: Once we had it-- sublime poetry.

: A woman moved upon the earth--
: more to the issue than a bird
: of the air and a fish of the sea
: and more to the issue than every
: living thing is 'a woman moving
: upon the earth'-- saith those who
: live only to saith their faith
: every living moment upon the earth
: delimiting the Index of Rapture.

: Literally-- now men have it.

: Dominion is good ephemeral-- say,
: for afternoon play with Annabel
: Leigh on the Isle of Curfu--
: but should it last and prosper,
: another chapter needs writing
: of male's top-heaviness upon
: (though pages only to languish
: in the pseudopigrapha)--
: some-sucher in 1610 would have
: plucked out or spilled ink pots
: across, then called for blotters.

: Daughters of Zion-- now men have
: your vessels under substantive
: control-- but comfort one another
: for after a minute spend of clot,
: after their closing bedroom doors
: they will sleep out there on floors.

: Comfort one another-- Doomsday
: is coming for dandelions soaked
: by Ida's hillside flowing creek
: aside the barn and for the glide
: of swans on House Holland Pond,
: for Finland Stations, all nations,
: for every Lolita and Annie Lee,
: all Tahiti's naked islandettes.

: Now men will really have it--

: Dominion is good-- for the chain
: is tight only for a night, oxygen
: need not be clean-- less the days
: to breath and trees to grow, rakes
: to rake, women to nurse and bake.

: If God soon comes again, dominion's
: press upon your graduation dress
: lifts and care not for wet yellow
: leaves underfoot in spring-- the
: laughter of laughers drinking,
: Uffizi's Bellini in water sinking,
: nor care for starve and slaughter.

: Men cry out it-- nothing more
: matters but personal salvation!--
: their daughter? she's that Vegas
: whore left to frogs and heaven
: and boils, to serpents en-horned.

: All men would have possessed
: you, Lolita, given enough world
: and time-- but all's well now
: in clock's tick and soon no need
: for the corrective rod and staff.

: Taken to the clouds rising there--
: elevation by the blood of the lamb.

There is some strong writing here, but Geoff is correct to the extent that this is a rant and dependent on whether the reader buys the speaker's point of view, which they may not. I also find the historical/cultural allusions to be all over the place and to lack focus.

Thanks for sharing.
