David Ayers (fibally getting your name spelled correctly)

I am so very glad you felt the monotony enough to comment on it.

For two reasons.

First, when one sets out to write an ideational piece as opposed to an emotive one, the last thing one cares about is whether the reader finds it monotonous - all one cares about is whether the reader finishes and understands it.

Second, even at an emotive level, are you yourself familiar yet with the slow, paintstaking death of a parent ? This is my second time around, and believe you me, one of the things it is IS monotonous, both for the parent and his or her family.

So not trying to plead ad misericordiam here at all - just trying to explain why I was not offended, but in fact, delighted at your reaction to the intended monotony of the piece.

Best regards
David Halitsky
