Hidden in the dark of it.

It lit a spark without a blink
For living as it did in there

It never learned to look or stare
So when the glint erupted so

It look-ed down and found a toe
protruding in the eerie glow

It saw it move and in a rush
Hit it with a handy brush

It never knew was in a hand
That showed up from open air

Into its ears there came a sound
For sure enough its voice was found

But understanding never came
It sheltered deep inside its brain

That only seconds in the lively glimmer
The poet muse began to simmer.

Suppose, suppose, suppose, suppose.
Something, something, something-- rose.
