Delivery cylinder, located at back of top panel, operates scraper-arm which moves molded product from the molds to the delivery chute. Delivery cylinder operates directly on line pressure.
My mother hesitantly recounted the story of my shoulder dystocia. We’ve since been reassured that doctors rarely resort to forceps in contemporary births (in any case, few have adequate experience). Dystocia, our instructor continues, is an unusual circumstance only resulting from the unlikely combination of a particularly large fetus and a particularly small pelvis. She seems doubtful that I really had it.
