In this workshop, students will focus on preparing their short fiction work for publication. In an advanced critique environment, students will produce and polish a portfolio of three stories for publication: one normal-length fiction (3000-1500 words) and two short-shorts or prose poems (500 words or less) . This workshop is rigorous and demanding: not for beginners. To be admitted, students must have taken "Art of Fiction I" or possess at least two publication credits. Instructor-led discussions and lectures will be generated by workshop content. Upon completion of workshop, editor instructor will work with student to explore and target specific short fiction markets.
