    About The Host, Meena Gupta

Meena comes from a rich heritage. A Bengali from Kolkatta India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Tolerance, patience, acceptance and love were the key words that surrounded her childhood.

Meena stepped into broadcasting and teaching by accident and not by design, an adventure that would change the course of her life as a career woman in Pakistan, a developing country. As an Anchorwoman for Pakistan National News, she received the National Graduate Award and the National Council of Arts Award. She has sixteen years of extensive communication production experience in television and radio broadcasting in both Pakistan and the U.S.

Meena's Story Telling performances at the Smithsonian and the Brooklyn Museum of Art which required dramatic interpretation of the 15th century Moghul Art received exceptionally good reviews in the local papers. She continues to serve as an ambassador of goodwill by promoting Asian Classical Poetry on the Poet's of the old world in the form of an internet and cable Radio show titled "The Dead Poet's Forum" with Fairfax Public Access live online radio at 10:00 a.m. every Wednesday.
