The Potomac - John Kryder
July 2007 - THE POTOMAC

Tibetan Butterflies, Mountain Way
   John Kryder

how light
and airy

they, how
clay-rock

we; they
wheel dart,

we climb
stop breathe

hard; they
flutter play

in breeze,
we winded

gulp air
like water

we crave,
make peace

with weakness,
want their

petaled strength
